For general electronic components, set your soldering iron tip between 315°C to 370°C (600°F to 700°F) for leaded solder, and 350°C to 400°C (662°F to 752°F) for lead-free solder. Keep contact fast (1–2 seconds) to avoid heat damage.
Suggest same size resistors, all quarter watt or eight watt. resistors lead spacing os 0.4 inches. just a gentle bend on 1/4w ? resistors
Use a lead bender9-pin joystck connector- important to not let pins get bent. Proper storage is essential or time is wasted.

18-lead PDIP. If you have a chip inserter - it helpsso you don't have to bend the leads by hand.
would be nice to have parts feeder for smd caps
maybe resistoirs too
need good tweezers
i think a small, thin flat tip solder iron is best for the capacitors. I worry the second side pad is not heating and so;dering. possibly sair silder. microscope ?
is there an in-circuit test for the capacitors especially if they are installed first?
